As I keep writing, I love heroes. I have always been loving heroes.
When I was a kid, I loved masked riders, power rangers and Goku from Dragon Ball. As An adult, I love samurais, FBI agents and CIA agents kicking bad guys’ asses.
Now I never realized it but suddenly the reason why I teach English, more to the point, the reason why I love teaching English came to my mind.
I love being a hero. I don’t have any extraordinary super strength or a computer like brain. I cannot fight any bad guys or save people from dying but with my skills to teach English, I can help students. I can help students who can have a better life or a better future for that matter with better English skills. As I struggled to pass the exams myself, I can help students who need help in getting better scores and as I acquired practical English skills, I can help students who want to acquire practical English skills. Maybe I am far from flawless and fail in many cases but still there have been many students I was able to help and there are many students waiting for met to help out there.
So I want to be a hero and though not as flamboyant and conspicuous as all the heroes in dramas and movies, I want to help make students’ life a tad better.
