In JAPAN, we have an old saying, “飯は器でくわせろ(if you serve people some food, feed them in a nice bowl: and if you are a learner of Japanese, be careful when u use 飯(meshi: rice literally; figuratively food or meal depending on occasions) and 食わせる(feed) because they are a little impolite words).” Every meal I had had its own hallmark. And the city serves as a “good bowl” and makes it more savory.
That said, I cannot still decide which criteria I should apply! So I’d like to kick off with street foods!
When I think of NYC, the first thing that came up to my mind is Central Park, turnstiles, bodigas and street carts. Once the governor De Biageo bragged about having 2000 some street carts (correct me if I’m wrong but maybe it’s “if you get a nickel every time if I remember something wrong” thing, you know) and he’s right at least about it and he has the bragging rights.
