Yesterday, I was able to get off from work a little earlier so I rode about 10 miles on the way home. I was able to ride about 35 miles together with the morning ride yesterday. This morning, the road in front of my house is pretty wet, maybe from the rain during the wee hours, so I once again trained on my stationary bike. 50 minutes, 26 km or a little more than 15 miles.
As you can see, I am more likely to train on my indoor trainer. And now I have some plans for training from now on.
Now towards the winter, I am thinking of obtaining a new Indoor Trainer. I am thinking of ordering one after September 16th because of the date of the charges on my credit card (need my bonuses to pay those bills. I also plan to get iPhone 5 when it comes out).
The one on the top of my wish list is Minoura V130M:
A good thing about it is;
1. It is targeted for those who want some tastes of hill climbing.
2. It works with iPhone4s. You can get a software and connect this trainer to iPhone. You can see heart rate (if you have ANT+ compatible equipment, which I already own for my Gamin 500), cadence and other necessary data and on top of all that you can create maps with the software and simulate as if you are actually riding on the road. Of course I believe nothing beats real riding but if you cannot ride, it is a nice alternative).
I will get this by the end of this month so if I get one, I will report how it goes.
