Some people who know Japan have an idea that there is lots of rainfall in “Rainy Season” just before Summer but I have heard that actually there is much more rainfall in fall than “Rainy Season.” Now last Sunday we had some rain and I have a feeling that the weather has changed ever since. So as I wrote in the last post, we have nice and cool weather (perfect for a trip on a bike) along with lots of rain.
The odds are I cannot train. Well, I think of May, June, July, August and September as Training time and have rides for fun for the rest of the year (from November till the middle of March, I am hibernating actually, riding inside on a turbo trainer.
So this morning I trained on my stationary bike. I warmed up for 20 minutes by pedaling at 90 rpm then tried 6 sets of 120 rpm (145 bpm) and 90 rpm (120 bpm). Finally I pedaled at 140 rpm (160 bpm) for 2 minutes. I cooled down pedaling at 90 rpm for 20 minutes and done. I rode 60 minutes (34 km or 20 miles). It was a good exercise.
