Today is my resting day. Come to think of it, I rode 2000 kilometers (1250 miles) in the month of July (mainly climb. I had at least 1600 meters (1 mile) climbing day a week). Then I went on a trip to DC and NY, and as I wanted my kids to see many parts of it (This time I went there mainly for my kids to see different culture including the way of thinking, different commonsense or cultural value) and the very next day of 16 hours of sleepless flight, I went to work for 12 hours.
Well I have kept riding for seven consecutive days without a break after that and I had only one holiday, so I am pretty worn down, exhausted. I think it is a good opportunity to stay at home doing nothing today.
So, since I have a little time today, I would like to talk about my Cannondale bikes. It was a chance meeting. I weighed, believe or not, 25 kilograms more than I do now. To exercise, I started to ride a mountain bike. Then, I got my bike stolen and basically I went to buy a bicycle and there, I met a road bike. Beautiful CAAD9, the last USA hand-made model, and I fell in love and bought it. Then everything started. I actually had been on a diet and at that time I was able to succeed in losing lots of’em. I weighed almost the same as the average Japanese guys. Then road biking kept me from getting into notorious rebounding cycles.
Then my love of road bikes got stronger and by saving up all the money I could and constantly persuading my wife (this is the hardest part), I bought Super Six Hi-mod, though gears or wheels are all inexpensive ones (I bought a new wheel two years later). So every morning I go training with Super Six Hi-Mod (SSHM), go to my working side with CAAD9 and go for a long ride or training on SSHM. And when I just go shopping or visit nearby places or ride with kids, I use Badboy, which was given to me from my friend living in Tokyo when a big earthquake hit us here (M9, you know! I never experienced anything like that!).
Each bike is great in their own way!!
